Members present:  Marilyn Strachan, Marian Sayers, Pastor David Hobbs, Ray Fisher, Chuck Carlson, Ginny Griffin, and Jane Tubbs.

 

1)      Prayer and Welcome given by Pastor Hobbs.

 

2)      Old business?

  ** Discussion on future plans to reorganize the Humboldt sanctuary platform

  ** Discussion on times for Worship Service.  Committee recommends possible change next Spring.

  ** Possible Song Leader in the future tabled.

        ** Suggested that blurbs be put in Visitor and bulletin inviting any interested people in participating in   .       ** music, choir etc.

 

3)      New Business

  ** Worship times discussed as to combining services.  Tabled

  **  Special Services  at Rose Mill Park Outside service on August 22 at 10:30 a.m.?  8:30 a.m. service  would be held in Humboldt but none in G.C. 9:00 a.m., 10:15 Rutland or 10:45 a.m. service in Humboldt.

  **  Special Services - Gilmore City Fun Days on Aug. 29^th -no regular GC Worship

  **  5:30 p.m. Humboldt Service length discussed but no action taken.

  **  Ideas regarding contemporary service, 2^nd service, youth oriented, different music etc. discussed.

 

  ** Communion flow at 8:30 a.m. service.   Pastors and ushers will be improving the flow.

  **  Transformed giving stewardship program coming in fall?will effect Worship.  Pastors are working

        on this.  May start in August.

  **  Issues with monthly Ministry team etc. mentioned and discussed, but no action taken.

  **  No ideas for Wally, Jan or Dave.

  **  Suggested pastors wear robes for formal occasions.

  **  Suggested that the Sunday July 22^nd (day before Ragbrai) schedule only one service in Humboldt.
